{Adorable Fall Votives}
It’s only Sept 17th, but I’ve pretty much wrapped up my fall decor. Just because I felt the need to slap these past 2 weeks of 87 degrees and humid right in the face I pulled it all out. I don’t have much, a few things here and there, enough to warm me up for getting out the Christmas decor. I was in a bit of sticker shock while I checked all the cuteness at HomeGoods. I had to find a better (aka cheaper) way to add that cuteness myself.
I made 4 of these little cuties in less than half an hour. I bought all my supplies at either the Dollar Store or Walmart.
This project was so quick and is such an easy way to add a little ‘fall’ around house!
Step #1: Cut equal strips of burlap.
Step #2: Hot glue strips around each votive.
Step #3: Cut equal strips of orange ribbon.
TIP: You’ve don’t have fabric scissors I would recommend investing in a pair, they are heaven. Fabric scissors will cut your ribbon or fabric without having them ravel. My aunt bought me a pair and I LOVE them. You should ask my kids how many times they’ve heard the words, “Don’t touch my scissors”!
Step #4: Hot glue the ribbon around the votive over the burlap.
Step #5: Remove the step from the middle of the flower and hot glue the button (I chose wood to add a natural texture along with the burlap) in the middle.
Step #6: Hot glue the flower over the orange ribbon in the center of the votive.
Step #7: Fill inside with brown shredded paper (you could also use a candle or candy).
These cute (and super cheap) votives would be adorable for a fall tablescape, candy dishes, or candle holders. What idea’s do you have for your fall decorating?

Sunday

Hi, I'm Sunday and yes, that's my name! I love DIY projects and the thrill of making something great-for cheap. I'm here to share tips for the DIY'er at heart from a wife, mom, and pastor. What do you do with your Sunday Afternoon?

Very cute votives.
But mainly I wanted to let you know I love your entry post! I have voted for you and I sure hope you win. You and your family deserve a little pampering after all you’ve been through these last couple years. I love the sports theme to the post, so cute.
Hopefully I’ll remember to come back every day to add another vote for you.
Good luck!!!!!
