{Fake Flower Fabulousness}
I’m almost done with Kennedy’s room update; I’ve named it Operation Tween. I plan to be finished up and deliver a big reveal on Friday. In the mean time, I thought I’d share some of the projects going into the room.
{DIY Memo Board w/ Flower Push Pins}
I got the idea to fill a large spot with a memo-board in her room and as usual I ‘shopped’ my house first. I remembered I had this huge (and not cute I must say) mirror sitting in the garage for over a year. *SCORE*
I forgot to take a before picture – BOO!
It only took a few easy steps to transform the ugly mirror into a memo-board with super cute flower push pins. I like easy cuz that’s my style!
Step #1: Take apart; it was made of 3 pieces: frame, mirror and backing.
Step #2: Spray paint frame; I used a super fun color: Rustoleum’s Key Lime.
Step #3: Hot glue Cork Tiles (Target) onto the backing.
Step #4: Put it back together!
Step #5: Remove the flowers (The Dollar Store) from the stems and hot glue to the top of push pins.
{After Memo-Board}
I’m trying to not be annoyed about the shadow from her dresser which I can not seem to escape!
{DIY Canvas Flower Frames}
I often switch my accessories around. These cute black frames were hanging in my living-room; but I was ready to move them out. Yay, something else I can use in her room!
{Before}
Step #1: Spray paint; I used Rust-Oleum Glossy Canyon Black .
Step #2: Cover backing of frames with canvas.
Step #3: Drill a small hole in the center for the flower stem.
Step #4: Hot glue flower into the small hole. (I found these huge flowers at The Dollar Tree!)
(I apologize, I forgot to take a few of the pictures – sheesh)
{After Canvas Flower Frames}
I created a mini gallery wall above her dresser using the frames.
I can’t wait to show you how the entire room came together!
Love you more than hot pink,
Sunday
