I found these great ‘golf guy’ prints at Goodwill; anytime I find a pair of anything I must snatch them up!
{Before Magnetic Boards}
The best part was they were $6.99 each and it was 50% off Green Tag Day so I got them both for that price!
The fist thing I did was take them apart – easy job with my screw gun.
I got rid of the glass (safely). The inside of the print has a rough surface so I decided to paint on the backside. I started with Rust-Oleum Magnetic Primer. I have to admit it was a little frustrated, it took 6 coats.
The nice thing about this magnetic primer is it’s easy to apply, I just used a foam roller. It also dries fast so you can let it sit out between coats.
I wanted the board to be a chalkboard as well as a magnetic board so I used I used Rust-Oleum Chalkboard Paint last. It’s also easy to apply, I used the same method as the magnetic paint.
The frames needed some color so first of all I used my BFF, Kilz Spray Primer. Then I spray painted them with 2 different colors. The first one I used Krylon Peekaboo Spray Paint and on the second Rust-Oleum Blossom White.
I found these flowers on clearance at Michael’s for .99 each and glued magnets onto them. I also added letters to spell out M-E-N-U.
{After Magnetic Boards}
Here they are all nice and cute in our shop, Sweet Transformations!
