I had such a blast on set yesterday with the Twin Cities Live crew; live from Como Town!
I was asked if I would like take part in a live shoot at Como Town on July 29th – YAHOO! Honestly, the day Producer Kelli Hanson, asked was not a good day; I was still sick from my first chemo treatment. Knowing the date for the live show would be just 2 days after my 2nd treatment was a little scary. However, the fighter in me agreed to do it and I decided I would NOT be sick. I refuse to allow cancer to rule my life. I took a ‘step of faith’ by agreeing to be there, a big one. The awesome thing about faith is, it pleases God. He hasn’t let me down yet and the Como Town shoot was no different.
I thought it would be fun to bring my daughter, Kennedy with so see what it’s like behind the scenes. It was SO HOT! We hung out with the other quests under a tent with plenty of water while trying to escape the heat and waiting for our turn; which wasn’t until Block E (the end).
I couldn’t do TV without my amazing Sis – Kelsey! She’s the jelly to my peanut butter, my creamer to my coffee, and my best friend. She makes sure my outfit is right, my hair is good, and my makeup is perfect!
Not only that, she helps me carry, load, unload, set up and pack up – WOOWZERS!
Table ready with demonstrations!
Finally on air!
In case you missed it here it is:
We had so much fun, but what even made it better was my sweet friends who came to cheer me on!
It was so nice to see these smiling faces in the audience! I’m still in awe they brought babies out in the 100 weather during the late afternoon – now THAT IS LOVE!
The segment today was a bit of a push for me, but God is faithful and gave me the strength to do it!
Not too mention I had SO MUCH fun!
Thank you to Kelli, Elizabeth and the entire TCL team – you make every experience a blast!
Love you more than being blessed to be on TV,
Sunday
P.S. Everyone always asks about my adorable headbands. They are made by my sweet friend Rayna.
