I’ve been on a table kick lately and have another cute one to show you! BTW – did I mention I got if for FREE?!
I’m also on a Aqua kick so, I decided to combine them!
{Before Aqua Side Table}
Step #1: Strip the top using Klean-Strip Paint Remover.
Spray it on (use gloves), allow it too sit for 15 minutes and scrap off.
Step #2: Sand the top to remove any left over residue and get a clean surface.
Cleaned up and ready to stain.
Step #3: Condition the top before staining with Minwax Wood Conditioner (follow directions).
Step #4: Stain the top with Minwax English Chestnut.
Step #5: After the stain completely dries, cover and tape off the top. Prime the bottom section with Kilz Primer.
Step #6: Spray paint (2 coats) with Rust-Oleum Aqua Spray Paint.
Step #7: Glaze the bottom section using the stain (see above).
For glazing instructions click HERE to see a previous post.
Here’s a close up of the glazing:
Step #7: Protect with a top coat of Minwax Polyurethane.
{After Adorable Side Table}
Just for fun, I love a good side by side!
My inspiration came from a cute table I had pinned on my Pinterest page. Of course, I didn’t have the adorable little table she had, but the color totally inspired me!
The original post came from Shaunna at Perfectly Imperfect.
Check out her blog (it’s amazing) and let me know what you think of my version!
