“Cute Desk (Hoot Hoot) for my Dolly”
Happy Monday! I made over this desk for my ‘dolly’, that’s my pet name for my daughter, Kennedy. We recently redecorated her room from nursery to tween (well sort of, she’s 11 and I wish I could freeze her). I scored this little desk for $15 on Craigslist, the perfect size for her room – SCORE!
Sorry about the bad photo, I actually forgot a before pic, this is actually from the CL ad.
Step #1: Prime with Kilz Spray Primer
Step #2: Spay paint with Rust-Oleum Blossom White Spray Paint
Step #3: Spray paint the top (tape of the edges) and the hardware with Valspar Exotic Sea Spray Paint
Step #4: Add super cute owl decals (Kohls $6.99)
Step #5: Add cute (FREE) chair spray painted to match, did I mention FREE? I simply recovered the seat with white fabric, stapled underneath, and added a seat cushion from Target!
Here she is, the super adorable, really cheap, perfect desk for my dolly!

A friend gave me that EXACT. SAME. DESK. last year for free. It was super fun to paint up gorgeous and I thought it packed a punch but NOTHING compared to yours! OH MY WORD this is just too awesome. The colors are amazing!
