This Friday’s find is a cute little patio set I bought at an occasional sale for $20! It was cute, in its time, but has rusted and the fabric is faded. I knew I could give it new life, could do it quick and most importantly, cheap.
{Before Patio Set}
The chairs came with a removable seat cushion and decorative back piece.
Let the make-over begin!
My supplies are ready to go:
Step #1: Clean furniture and use wire brush to remove rusty pieces that were flaking off.
Step #2: Prime with Rust-Oleum Spray Primer.
Step #3: Spray paint all 3 pieces. For the chairs I used Rust-Oleum Enamel Protective Enamel Spray Sunrise Red.
I wanted a fun color so I went with Rust-Oleum Aqua Spray Paint for the top and Rust-Oleum Enamel Protective Spray in White on the bottom.
Step #4: Recover seat cushions. One of my favorite ‘fabrics’ to use are canvas drop cloths; they are easy to use and best of all, cheap (this size was $14.95)!
Simply remove the old fabric from the cushion.
Using the old fabric as a pattern, cut a new piece out of the canvas and staple it on the bottom of the cushion.
Brand new and it was easy peasy!

Hi, I'm Sunday and yes, that's my name! I love DIY projects and the thrill of making something great-for cheap. I'm here to share tips for the DIY'er at heart from a wife, mom, and pastor. What do you do with your Sunday Afternoon?

Love the colors – I never would have thought of putting them together! Uncle steve found a great set of chairs at a garage sale I just need to recover the seat and back – the wood frame is great. They were only $5 each!
