Twin Cities Live {Dollar Store Centerpieces}

Once again, I had a BLAST on Twin Cities Live this past Tuesday. See us laughing? Not sure about John…LOL.

The segment is called “Dollar Store Centerpieces”. When they first asked me to do wedding decor from The Dollar Store I realized I’ve used several things from TDS to decorate for baby showers and parties; weddings are not that much different.

Here’s the live segment:

{Dollar Store Centerpieces // Wedding Decor}

Tiered Dessert Trays: Using a candlestick holder, a plate, E6000 glue, and spray paint I made 2 different sized serving trays. Did you know you don’t have to have flowers for your wedding centerpieces? You can use the center of your table for a tray to serve your desserts. It’s a bonus because you don’t have to spend the extra money on flowers and you’ll  be serving dessert anyways; just on the table instead of a separate location.

Flower Candlesticks: Using a candlestick holder, a small candle tray, E6000 glue, and spray paint I made a perfect holder for either a flower or a moss ball. I simply used wiffle balls (4 for $1) and hot glued flower petals or moss to the entire ball. There’s no end to the choices of spray paint colors or flower colors you could use!
Hurricanes and Candlesticks: Using various sizes of hurricanes, glass  bowls, vases, candlesticks and E6000 glue I made a variety of different shapes and sizes of centerpieces. You can also purchase the candles and fillers for your hurricanes at The Dollar Store. To make a design such as stripes, simply use painters tape to tape off the stripes and spray with Rust-Oleum Frosted Glass Spray Paint.
The great thing about all these ideas is that you can customize them to ANY event. Change out the colors, the candles or the fillers and you have budget friendly decor for any occasion!
Love you more than saving a bundle at The Dollar Store,
Sunday
