Product code: Chinese sold Republic Period 9” Copper Wire Cloisonné Vases on Antique Wood Stands
Antique pair of Chinese copper wire cloisonné enamel vases with antique carved wood display stands. Decorated with a ruyie border and an exquisitely detailed foliate slip trail in pure snow white on an oxblood ground, the vases likely date to the late Q'ing Dynasty or early Republic period prior to 1920. “China” is embossed into the copper base of each. Just over 9” in height, sold the vases measure approximately 5” in diameter and stand 10.5” in height when placed on their wood stands. One of the stands shows a stress crack on the bottom which appears to be stable and is neither noticeable or distracting when on display. Otherwise both vases are in very good to excellent heirloom condition with no dents, dings, enamel bruises or significant losses, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections found. Wear is commensurate for age and history of use.
