Antique sold Hinged Hair Pin- 1800s Victorian Papier-mache, Inlaid Abalone Hinged Hair Pin

A stunning and rare, antique hair pin, dating to the 1800s.

The main decoration is lacquered papier-mache with inlaid abalone shell pieces.

It is higed onto a long Bobby pin.
It measures 4.5cm in diameter.
The length of the pin itself, is 7.5cm.

In sold good vintage condition.
The body of the decoration is intact, with no chips or cracking.
There seems to be one piece of shell missing on a smaller petal.
