This weight-forward dog-head style hammer is great for all manner of sheet metal forming applications- I developed it with the help of some notable cymbal smiths. The forward cant of the head and the short handle make it ideal for working at the anvil while seated. The length of the head and the high crown of the face also make it great for sinking the bells of cymbals or other hollow forms. I keep one handy for dishing ladles and spoons.
