I have an Apple watch series 1 with charger. And an extra band. Its a 42 mm 7000 series. The battery exploded but didn't crack the screen. I left it on the charger too long. I have put it on the charger and the apple sold sign comes on but when you take it off the charger, it disappears. The last pic shows the apple on. So it definitely needs a battery. Was in perfect condition before that. I was going to just replace the battery but decided to upgrade. The battery kit costs around $16. I started to order one. It comes from a smoke free home. I do consider bundles and offers. I did have someone who works on apple products take a look at it and he told me it needed a battery. Or you could use it for parts.
