Here is a very old storage jar. This piece is in good condition for its age. It originally has a bale handle so there are two side holes where it use to be. The lid is chipped and marked with dates and company name which is difficult to make out and I am not sure it reads 1801 or 1901. It is most likely 1901. If this is the original lid it had a rubber gasket at one point. The lid does not have a snug fit.
I have been an antique sold dealer for a long time and this is a first for me. Jar has some glaze cracks but no hairline cracking. The rim has one very small chip. The lid has one chip on the front and one underneath. The interior is clean but I was unable to capture that with the photo. This is not a large crock, please see the measurements and pictures with the ruler for size reference.
