Patamban Michoacan Pottery dish with Rabbit, swan, and Fish c. 1940s Often referred to as “red ware”, the pottery is hand-formed from red clay, glazed and fired, leaving each piece of crockery with its own sold charming imperfections and variations. Two rabbit cavorting in a cactus patch is brushed on with green glaze over a glossy deep brown/black background on the lid, a swan on the inside and fish swimming around the outside. It's in excellent vintage folk-art condition.
