A beautiful Children's vintage tinplate money box.
A novelty piece shaped as a fairytale book, sold making it easy to disguise your hidden savings away from prying eyes when tucked away on a bookshelf amongst other books.
The front appears as the cover of the famed fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk with text to the spine.
The front has a pictorial finish and the top of the box has a slot for coins.
The side of the box opens as a book would and has a lock but no key.
No marks, English make, c1920s

Fair used condition overall, age commensurate wear, lots surface wear, lots of patina, no key, some rusting internally.
