Unique hand painted Mad Hatter Head on a Mushroom from Alice in Wonderland. Painted in my Edinburgh studio and inspired by the work of Lewis Carroll, this is a perfect gift for any Alice fan or collector as no two dolls are the same.

This Mad Hatter head is one in a series of 4 and is hand painted then drawn onto. Each head has it's own character and wears a hat sold with the 10/6 ticket in it. He sits on a little red spotted mushroom with arrows pointing both ways.

He is made from Lime, a wood traditionally used for marionette and puppet making due to its light weight and ease of carving.

They measures approx 9-11cm sitting on their mushroom.

Painted with high quality artist's acrylic paints, inks and fineliner pens, then varnished for protection.

Each doll in my collection is intricately drawn and painted and takes a number of hours to complete and no two sets are identical.
