Steiff Vintage Cockie Cocker Spaniel Dog - 10 cm - EAN 3310 - Rare Reddish Brown Print Name Tag - 1952 to 1953 Only - All Ids and Original Neck Bow

In the 10 years I have had my Etsy shop, there have only been a handful of times when I offered a Steiff critter wearing a 1950s bear face chest tag with the name printed in the coveted reddish brown ink. Steiff only used this particular bear face design/ink color between 1952 and 1953 so this pup is rare indeed!

Not only is Cockie wearing this style of name tag (minor wear – see close-up photo), but he retains his original Steiff raised script ear button and EAN tag displaying his EAN as 3310.

Cockie stands approx. 4 inches tall and approx. 5 inches front to back making this the 10 cm size (the smallest of the 7 sizes Steiff produced him in the 1950s). He is covered in brown and cream-colored mohair. He is wearing his original salmon colored neck bow (some faint stains and one loop of the bow is starting to split so please examine the close-up photos). His muzzle and mouth lining are velvet, his eyes are brown and black glass and his nose is hand embroidered in black. He has a swivel head for various posing options.

Cockie's condition for his approx. 70 years is very nice with an overall old tyme appearance. Are you as enamored as I am? If you are, you can adopt this adorable pup today!
