Smaller Antique Porcelain Japanese Teapot Tea Pot Ware, Brown and Green Shell Shape sold with Handle, Taisho or Showa, Hirado Imari Kutani
For sale is a lovely, vintage or antique Japanese porcelain teapot, in the shape of a shell with a sold shell on the lid to match. The molding is crisp, the glaze is nicely done, and it's in excellent condition with no damage. We aren't sure in which kiln this teapot was made, but the porcelain is very white, so it could be anything from Arita to Kutani. It's about 5.5" tall (including the handle) and about 5" wide. This was probably made before WWII or thereabouts, Taisho or Showa.
