Maxell (not Maxwell!) XLII-S high bias position IEC type II high sold blank audio cassettes. 90 minutes length - 45 minutes per Side A and Side B. For those in the know, these are not merely Maxell XLII, which are very good in their own right. The XLIIS is the upgrade sibling. Not "sold as blank," whatever that means! These are actually blank, never used, new old stock, wrapped as the day they were bought, maybe from Drucker Discount Warehouse (we love you, Arnold) or Crazy Eddie. These were among the best cassettes ever available to general consumers for home recording. Solid construction and alignment, dependable record and playback. I play these tapes (others, not these precise ones, obviously) recorded in the mid-80s as if they were made yesterday. I happened across several boxes this weekend reorganizing some home studio equipment, some of which I also will list. I have enough new, and my xmas shopping starts soon. I guess yours does too.
