Product code: Framed Untitled Acrylic Painting of Jesus by sold Maricia
Framed untitled acrylic painting of Jesus by Maricia in muted pinks, purples, reds, blues, and cream. 14.5 inches x 18.5 inches x 1.25 inches. Mounted on cardboard with tape, instead of stretcher bars. Framed and ready to hang. I have been unable to sold find any information about the artist. A short-haired and beardless Jesus stands in front of the cross, before a color-block background. Lines (blessings? rays?) radiate from the tip of his right hand and lead/reflect to other areas of the painting. The bones of this painting are rectangular shapes differing in color and value, and a large triangle shape, the vertex being the top of an angular heart that looks a little like an apple. Above that focal point floats the beautiful, sad face of Jesus. He knows what lies in his future and he is resigned to it. He is tired, but he has more work to do, and will continue to do it, with love, until the end. I think he is saying "Here humans, I give myself to you, all that I am, so that you might.
