Honeycomb Calcite is a fairly recent discovery from Utah, it has also been referred to as Amber Onyx. Each piece is very unique and demonstrates a different "honeycomb" pattern. This stone is sometimes confused with orange calcite; however, the difference is in the veins. Honeycomb calcite has more of a yellow hue with white veins that resemble patterns of a honeycomb. The texture of the stone is amazingly smooth, almost waxy. This stone is one of a kind and is an awesome addition to any collection!
