This bowl was hand turned on a wood lathe from a piece of reclaimed hackberry wood. The bowl has been painted with milk paints in a technique to make it look rustic and worn. It has been sanded to a silky smooth finish that begs to be held. The perfect accent to any dinner party!

***bowl is finished with food safe walnut oil and beeswax. shellac is also used in the finishing process. I mix my own shellac and it is free of any chemical driers. It consists only of the shellac flakes (secretions of the shellac bug) and alcohol. Shellac is used in many of our everyday items including coatings on medicine and candies.***
