Gorgeous antique French glass and ormolu jewellery box dating from the early 1900's

This is a vey sweet and ornate antique French box which has been made with thick clear bevelled glass panels set into a ormolu gilded brass frame, originally given as a souvenir gift or bought as a keepsake this beautiful box has the colour image inside the lid.

Unusual triangular shape this box has 4 thick bevelled glass panels held in place with an ormolu gilded frame. The lid is hinged at the back with a tiny clip clasp at the front, lined inside the base with red silk and tiny silk buttons. Attached to the base of the frame are 3 little splayed feet

Measuring 8.5 cm ( 3 1/4") across each of the 3 sides,6 cm (2 1/4") along the sides of the lid and 7 cm (2 3/4") high.

In excellent condition through out for age and use, no chips or cracks to the glass and no dents or dings to the ormolu brass, the hinge is solid and opens and closes easily as does the front clip clasp.The red silk is worn consistent with age sold,
