DC-3 SMART PHONE STAND The Douglas DC-3 is a propeller-driven airliner, which had a lasting effect on the airline industry in the 1930s to 1940s and World War II. After the war, military flying continued and production of the civil version was restarted. DC-3s became the mainstay of worldwide passenger and freight services for many years. It was developed as a larger, improved 14-bed sleeper version of the Douglas DC-2 It is estimated that over 2000 DC-3 aircraft or derivatives are still airworthy. This phone stand, courtesy of Pendulux, is made of polished aluminum with brass propellers, mounted on a heavy aluminum stand. A brass trough on the base can be used to support a cell phone or hold a pen or pencil. Made of polished aluminum, brass Measures 7” tall x 3” sold wide x 2&3/4" in depth and weighs just over ½ lb.
