All of my prints are made from professional scans of the original paintings and printed by a professional, small business right here in the Pacific Northwest.
Sowing in the Cover Crop is inspired by a real farmer who runs his farm primarily with horses and mules. I was captured by the beauty of this hard work, the dust being blown by the wind, and the sun glinting off the tack.
It was a delight to capture this moment and it was amusing to watch the two mules as I snapped my photos. The mule, farthest from the viewer (in the painting) was a young and eager fellow who you can clearly see was irritating the the older and more methodical one. I realized there was something beautiful and amusing going on between these two Jacks.
