This is an 1808 version of the iconic vintage cookbook, White House Cook Book by Mrs F.E. Gillette. Classic and unusual recipes, etiquette, laying a table and much much more. TITLE: White House Cook Book AUTHOR: Hugo Zieman (steward of the White House) and Mrs. F.L. Gillette SIZE: 590 sold pages CONDITION: Front and back cover have some separation from book, wear at corners and edges, rub marks some stains and splotches (see photos). Inside title and copyright pages missing, first few pages have been repaired with tape (missing areas of pages) by the previous owner Book has some hand written notations and a hand written name inside back cover. Pages have darkened and have some speckles, otherwise no detected major issues.
