The stone's rugged mountains and valleys of deep green make this an unusual piece. Handcrafted in precious metal clay, this exquisite malachite pendant has a simple fine silver setting to contrast with the rough surface of the stone. The setting is very lightly oxidized and then polished to a high sheen. It measures approx. 1 3/4" X 1 1/2" and is marked on the back with my initials, PH, and .999 Fine Silver.
This listing is for the pendant only. If you are interested in purchasing a rubber cord with a sterling silver lobster clasp, I have them available in 16", 18" or 20"--just let me know what length you'd like to buy and I'll arrange a listing for it.
Thanks for looking!
What is Precious Metal Clay
Precious Metal Clay, PMC, is a material in which microscopic particles of silver are mixed with a moist binder to create a material that has the feel and working properties of modeling clay. Using clay working tools, objects are easily given shape, texture and character. After air-drying, the objects are fired in a kiln to temperatures approaching the melting point of the metal , where particles fuse together to make a dense fully metallic object of .999 fine silver.
