Product code: Vintage Mexican Majolica folk art drip sold glazed tea set.

The set is sold handmade, made probably around the 1930's for the tourist trade. The set includes: teapot w/lid creamer pitcher, sugar bowl w/lid, 4 cups and 4 saucers, 13 pieces total. Sold as a set only. This pottery is all handmade. The pottery will have flaws from being art pottery, color irregularities, overglazed chips, pin holes, pottery lumps/bumps etc. The condition overall is good. Considering the age of the set and the delicate nature of the materials it is made from. They all have applied flowers trim embellishments in the design. The drip colors can vary on every single piece etc. The teapot has sticker residue on the front. The teapot has some maybe water etching in places on the surface on the pottery, it could have been made that way. Some of the surface could clean better because years of grime. Maybe some cleaning product could improve it, but not bad at all. Slight scuff on spout hard to tell, because it is so minor. The creamer is dirty inside. The sugar bowl has a few outside etched areas like teapot, so same principle applies. A cleaning may help on all flower embellishment areas dirt has settled in the crevices. cup 1: no damage, cup 2: no damage, cup 3: no damage, cup 4: has a chip on the underside near ridge, done so during piece's production, glaze over the chip. Saucer 1: brown rough edge, made that way, saucer 2: white streak on top interior, made that way, saucer 3: the plate is buckled a bit, probably made that way, also, a few small fleabites on the bottom's ridge, saucer 4: no damage. All pieces have a yellowish glaze and brown drips, and sometimes in spots a dark blue green. Remember: art pottery can have mega flaws that are expected. The nice thing about this set is that it is complete in this condition/ I am sure is rare. Crazing in areas. Sold as is and how I found it.
