Little Girls Vintage Patchwork Quilt Handmade Swing sold Coat

Vintage quilt coat with Ruffle collar and very swingy oversized fit. Bespoke contrast binding is added.
This loose fitting swing style jacket will bring a bit of cheer to any fall day!
Repurposed from the border segments of a lovely vintage Quilt in white with soft lilac geometric patterns. The original pink and frayed binding has been preserved and it highlights the intricate edge of the quilt. It closes in front with a single vintage button.
This piece is hand pieced and hand quilted. It It is light weight, with a low loft. The original quilt front and back were in good/fair condition with some wear and light staining here and there which has become one with the fabric. It has a soft hand and flowy drape in terms of movement.
This piece is light weight and would be perfect for winter or spring outings worn over a cozy sweater or a comfy T.
It is sized little girls Age 2-3.
Please note, this item is made from an antique quilt and the fabric reflects this in both its beauty and its imperfections. Some quilts are more loved than others and need repairs and mending before they can find new purpose. I attempt to provide mending solutions in areas were the structural integrity of the garment is at stake sold. In other areas I prefer to allow the original condition if the quilt to shine through.
This jacket has been carefully pre-washed but I recommend spot cleaning in the future, if necessary.
