Vintage Chinese Emperor Qianlong with Red Robe Figurine, Hand Painted Bisque Porcelain Statue Asian Decor
Chinese statue depicts the emperor, member of royalty, or Imperial officer. He has a long braid (queue) and his robe is decorated with round medallions with dragons on both front and back which on an actual emperor's robe would have been embroidered. Nice Handpainted details throughout including fish and temple with sun. His hat is triangular, which may indicate rank or that he was Manchu, as Manchus introduced the triangular sold hat and prayer beads, as well as the short cape worn on the shoulders. The maker's stamp is on the bottom. Most likely made for export, circa 1950s to 1970s, but could be earlier.
Colors are vibrant. No chips or cracks.
A piece with great presence for a Chinoiserie style interior.
