This is a wonderful 19th Century daguerreotype photo of a young woman in a brown leather scrolled case with a velvet interior and a gilded leaf frame. I love the intensity of her eyes and as I look closer, I think she is younger than I first thought. A great piece of history to own that comes with a personality of its' sold own and speaks of another time. Item has wear from age (see pics), well over 100 years old!
