Fine leather binding [with label of Adam Holden of Liverpool] in brown calf, with gold tooling, red leather label [that says, "Wood's Insects at Home"], marbled endsheets and all edges marbled. Cover has insignia for Wallasey Grammar School, as well as: sold "Bell Prize for Science Form Upper V."
A volume of French history (in English) that was awarded to a Wallasey student in 1888.
In good antiquarian condition, save for dryness, including hinges (see photo) and extremities.
