The Golden Treasury of Knowledge (#1, 1961) sold Book Carving

I used the 1961 edition of The Golden Treasury of Knowledge, book #1, 1961, for this sold book carving.
I cut a hole in the front cover, which then becomes the frame. On this edition, there was an image embossed on the cover- so I kept it! Then, I carve down into the book- 1 page at a time. I use an Xacto blade. I cut away what I don't want to show. The end result is like a collage with depth.

It is in a custom hanger for hanging on a wall. Can be displayed in a book easel, too.

I alter books that are used or going to be discarded.
