Table number with numbers are their shadow.
The 'shadow' serves as a base for the number so it doesn't tip over.
The numbers and their shadows are painted on both sides in the color of your choosing.
You can choose the shadow to be the same color as the number or you can choose sold a completely different color. In the picture, the number is painted in ivory and the shadow is black.
