Hamilton Vantage Ladies Vintage Handwind Wristwatch 17 Jewels sold In Pristine Working Order
Vantage watches were made by the illustrious Hamilton Watch Company, established in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and globally renown for their absolute quality and craftsmanship. By the 1960's Hamilton had taken over the Buren Watch Company based in Switzerland and, after absorbing their factories, moved all production to Switzerland, beginning Hamilton's Swiss era and production of their Vantage line of watches.
This beautiful example with a handwind mechanism is from my private vintage collection, which I'm slowly selling off due to age catching up. The design is feminine and quite glamorous, with an etched semi-oval bezel with a mineral crystal and lugs that feature a sweep of matching etching with a small diamond to one side. The stainless steel body with original winder is conplemented by a vintage Finesse silver corded band with a rolled gold [white gold] closure. The condition of the watch is excellent, with an unblemished crystal and body. The locking sold mechanism is fully intact. Mechanical watches never need a battery - merely a regular wind.
* The watch winds, sets and keeps excellent time
* It has not been worn for many years, merely wound every week to maintain integrity of the mechanical mechanism
* Size from lug to lug is 3.5cm
* Size of dial is 1.2cm x 1.4cm
* The watch will fit a wrist up to size 18cm
* It will come in a gift box and postage includes signature required on delivery with tracking
I carefully select each piece of jewelry for sale in my shop. All have enjoyed a previous life, some as long as a 100 years, so please view the pictures, taken from all angles, including extreme close-ups, carefully. My detailed description includes a reference to the condition of the item, including state of settings. Good condition means that there may be minor signs of vintage related marks, such as small nicks and scratches. Excellent means that the item is in 'like new' condition or in extremely well maintained antique or vintage condition - depending on the age this rating can still include tiny scratches and nibbles. If you are uncertain, please send a message for more details about the piece.
