Sierra sold Nevada

Sierra Nevada is a Large original abstract acrylic, painting with a dimension of 18" by 24".

This series of paintings was inspired by the earthen textures of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. It is a black and gold abstract painting capturing the millions of years of pressure, and evolution within the seismic plates and mountains. When you stare into this painting, you feel the intensity and scale of our planet, as well as savour the luxurious 24 Karat golden metallic tones within the paint. My intention with painting this work of art is to capture the feeling sold of staring at a large mountain range during sunset, being enveloped by the dark, golden, and silver tones. The painting is finished with a clearcoat resin, but is still quite light and weighs under 3 lbs.
