This old book is called "Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Manual for Nurses", published in 1925. This is not a reproduction, not a reprint, and not a digital print ... this is an authentic book of the period. Written by Dr. Roy H. Parkinson, this was published by The C. V. Mosby Company of St. Louis. The book was intended for nursing schools, to help nurses learn much more about these human body systems, as "many hospitals allow only four periods of one hour each in which to cover this subject ... [and this book in intended] to give the student nurse a general idea of what may be encountered in eye, ear, nose and throat cases in order that she may be enabled to follow directions given by the physician." There are also sections in the book devoted to operating room technique. This volume was once owned by E. Werner, and there is a neat cursive name on the inside cover attesting to this, and some of the pages are lightly stuck together (easily separated) from decades of prolonged storage in a heavy dry box. The hard cover book is in fair to good condition. All 206 pages are here, the binding is secure, and there are many illustrations and photographs, with a useful index. Still useful and readable, and quite interesting as it reveals the state of medical knowledge about 100 years ago. The hard cover book measures about 7 7/8" by 5 1/2" by 3/4". In sold fair to good condition.
