40s Gold Dress / Vintage 1940s Yellow Satin Tulle Formal Long Ball Gown sold / Women Medium / 1950s Belle Disney Princess Puff Sleeve Scalloped

1940s-50s GOLD BALLGOWN

Features include:
* Gorgeous medium-heavy weight gold satin base fabric with matching gold tulle overlay
* Round scalloped neckline
* Short puff sleeves with satin cuffs
* Slightly pointed waistline
* Darts on the front and back sides of the bodice
* Full, gathered skirt that is floor length
* 18 small decorative covered buttons down the center back, actual closures are four metal snaps and one metal hook and eye

The approximate size is Medium, but please pay attention to these measurements, taken laying flat and buttoned up:
Bust (doubled): 37"
Waist (doubled): 28"
Hips: open
Total length: 53"
Waist to hem: 39"
Shoulder to shoulder: 16"
Sleeve length: 6.5"
Buttons: 3/8" (buttons are decorative only, actual closures are the snaps/hook)

*Please note- dress was pinned slightly on the mannequin to better show off its shape. Photo #2 features petticoats under the dress to show fullness and they are not included in this listing.

This garment is in good vintage condition, meaning it has multiple noted minor flaws which are most likely reparable, and would be wearable with care or after repair. These flaws include:
* Two small holes in tulle on the left side of the skirt (one is approximately 1/2"x 3/8", the other is 3/8" x 1/4", photo #10, top left)
* Additional small holes in the tulle at seams (even easier to repair)- center back seam & left side seam (photo #10, top right is the center back seam one)
* Slight wear on some of the covered buttons (see photo #10, bottom right)
* The main flaw is marks on the satin underlay. There is a thin black line running straight across the back shoulder blade area (see photo #7) and similar markings sold on the front left side above the bust darts (photo #5). These marks look like pen/pencil and are pretty light but definitely noticeable even with the tulle overlay). Additionally, the hem is fairly dirty in places (photo #10, bottom left)- this could possibly come out with cleaning, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee it.

This dress is very structurally sound though, and appears to have been made with lots of love and care! Currently I have not cleaned this garment in any way. I did reattach one set of snaps on the center back.
