Turquoise and Repousse sold Box Amulet

This necklace is made from a vintage repousse box, likely from India. It is dual sided one with a seated figure and one with a figure mounted on a horse. The amulet opens with a slided cver on the top. I attached it to wire set sold green turquoise beads and concho beads made form vintage buffalo nickels. This piece is a melding of histories and cultures.

All pieces are unique. They are made completely from found and recycled parts, much like found-object art.
I have loved jewelry my whole life. I want to create pieces that drape and lay on the body the way clothing would, using relics and totems from years past.
