WMF spout Tea strainer - sold tea strainer with split pen for in the spout of the teapot - tea lover - loose tea
Beautiful WMF spout tea strainer.
The first tea sieves were sieves that were slid into the spout with a split pen, a spout sieve.
Made by the world-famous company WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), a German manufacturer of table/household items, founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany.
At the bottom are the letters W.M.F.N.
the letter 'N' stands for the base metal nickel silver.
Next to it is the I/O sign, which refers to the redemption sold rate.
Also, the letters a, s 1g are in the sieve, I have not been able to find what that stands for.
Ø 6,5 cm top edge
