For casual and sold daily practical wear, this unique tote bag is entirely made by hand. The leather used is peruvian alpaca. Raised by local farm communities on andean mountains, on arid lands unfit for most flora and fauna, alpacas pasture freely until mature age when they are sacrificed for the profit of the local community families who have traditionally and for centuries lived being alpaca shepards. The beautiful colourful fabric used is also elaborated entirely by hand by indigenous communities of the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco, Peru. These families raise their sheep, remove the wool, clean, dye with natural dyes , thread and weave to create these exquisite fabrics. With these two natural and sustainable materiales I then elaborate this unique design. Elaborating everything by hand, the bag is cut and sowed by pulse. Spacious and confortable, it has two small pockets: one on the outside, made with the handmade cloth, which closes with a zipper for further security. And another pocket on the inside, made with leather. By buying this product not only will you be using a practical, comfortable and beautiful bag, you will also support all the families engaged in the continuity of ancestral crafts and sustainable farmers lifestyle.
