This antique artifact is in excellent condition for its age (c. 900 A.D.) and originally comes from the Nordic region of Northern Europe & the North Atlantic, including Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. The Norse/Viking people were artisan jewelry-makers, creating simple pieces of metal jewelry, as well as decorative objects of fantastic design & craftsmanship. The most popular jewelry among Norsemen were bracelets, also known as armbands, arm rings, or torcs. These arm bands were worn sold by men and used mainly for trade or self-adornment.
