Condition Report: In a uniform red cloth binding with blind stamped boards and gilt embellishment to the spines. Externally slightly bumped to extremities and head and tail of spines. Fading to spines. Small closed tear to tail of spine, volume I. Slight marking to boards. Hinges strained, with rear hinge to volume I and front hinge to volume IV split, showing cords. Folding plate to volume I detached but present. Prior owner's blind stamp to front free endpaper, all volumes. Library blind stamp to front free endpaper, volume I. Internally generally firmly bound, strained in places. Pages very bright and clean throughout, slightly age toned with scattered spotting to fore edge, only visible to textblock. Mark to gutter page viii offset to facing page but not affecting text, volume I. Ink mark to upper fore edge of page 8 offset to facing page but not affecting text, volume II. Pages occasionally uncut throughout. Overall: Very Good
