This rare and stunning black basalt and terra cotta Egyptian trinket box was made in England by Wedgwood in the 1970s. Tiny and perfect, this box is in impeccable condition and would be a perfect addition to the Jasperware collection of anyone who loves this vintage sold Wedgwood line of finely craft art pottery. Note the detailed terra cotta winged sphinx on the lid and the wing symbols encircling the base. Stamp of authentication imprinted on the base.
