These rare, beautifully made Rubis sunglasses are in great condition. They have a gold filled browline frame attached to green tinted lenses. The quality of the craftsmanship is noticeable, particularly in the detailing, such as the star shaped connect point to the nose pieces (see picture 4).
Rubis is stamped on the gold of the nose, as well as the makers mark. There is also a mark 'Bte SGDG'. Bte stands for brevete or patented.
The glasses are in very good condition overall, with very minor patina of wear. The arms are very light weight and have a duller patina to them than the main frames, so we believe they are not gold. The lenses are green plastic, with some patina of wear but no significant scratches. They are not prescription and can be worn straight away.
The case they come in may be the original case to the sunglasses. It is certainly of that time period. It has the word Polaroid embossed on the outside and Polaroid written in the interior.
Please note these sunglasses are small, typical of this era and style. Please check measurements carefully, particularly frame width and arm length, as we do not accept returns for eyeglasses not fitting.

Nose Bridge width: 1.5cm / 5/8 inch
Arms from hinge to bend at ear: 8.5 cm / 3 3/8 inches
Lens Diameter - 5 cm x 4 cm / 1 7/8 inches x 1 5/8 inches
