A Comma or Maybe a sold Magatama

A unsigned vintage handmade modernist sculpture made from heavy painted plaster. Looks a bit like a comma or a Japanese magatama.
It measures 5&1/2" tall, 4&3/4" wide, and 2&3/4" thick.
Sits flat and stable and could be used as a bookend.
In good vintage condition, with sold overall patina and losses to the dark taupe paint.
