Fabulous Victorian English Staffordshire pottery watch safe, or holder sold, stands about 10 1/2" tall, and measures 8" wide, and 3" deep. Made circa 1850, the colorful figural piece features what represents the three graces, young ladies dressed in wonderful tartan attire, posed before a garland bedecked tall case clock, featuring an opening to insert a pocket watch.
In good, as found estate condition, there are small scuff marks and chips to the points of each nose, and several other tiny chips along with small hairline cracks along the base on the reverse. A charming and exuberant addition to any collection, the watch safe is offered with out reserve.
