Serenade is aptly named after a musical performance intended to win one's affection. A stunning blonde with elaborate coifed up-do, combined with a French Twist in back, she is nothing short of amazing! Bodied taffeta gown, in a mysterious shade of muted lavender pink with shimmering blue lowlights, is reminiscent of 1950's and '60's design. Bodice is distinguished by vertical, figure hugging darts and strap sleeves with a wider strip overlay tacked to them, achieving a romantic shoulder drape. Undulating, wet-look trim band at neckline is studded in sequins. The band texture masquerades as beading until examined closely. Double scallop lace at waistline is sprinkled in sequins with black bead centers and solitary beads accents. The full skirt's triangular panels, with their semi-sheer nylon backing, are placed strategically at center, right and left positions near the hemline. Corded couching corrals black seed and bugle bead clusters which are unparalleled in their design effectiveness, unifying everything like a well composed melody. Dangle earrings and cuff bracelet are perfectly appointed to the overall effect. Two layers of stiff honeycomb netting, topped by three softer layers of black screen tulle, support the body of her gown beautifully. Black velvet heels with round toe and shimmer tights complete her ensemble to perfection. A truly fabulous doll with romance to the nines, Serenade will absolutely steal your heart!
MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly.
Prior to sale, I can send photo of box, doll undergarments, clothing tag on request. (I have compiled extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.
MY PROCESS: I remove from sold the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps, no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands, ( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."
MY PRICES: I calculate on: How readily available (or, conversely, hard to find,) whether complete with all accessories, my costs, my labor, condition of restored doll returned to box after completing the work.
