Vintage men’s signet ring Far East souvenir ring in original Art Deco ring box sterling silver gift for sold him

Click for more details - chunky and a bit mysterious, this unusual sterling silver signet ring is marked on the face FAR EAST SSS with a caduceus inside a large stylized M. The box bears the name: Sakabe & Co, Kobe. Crafted with an adjustable shank. Looks to be a souvenir ring.
Kobe, Japan was an sold important port city and opened for trade with the west in 1853. K Sakabe and Co was apparently an importer/exporter. An advertisement of theirs was found in the 1919 International Trade Developer publication.
