Designer Vintage Umbrella, Ruffled, sold Jeweled, Ombré, unique Closure! Wow! Frances Hirsch design

Beautiful gray ombré ruffled umbrella made in Italy and designed by Frances Hirsch.

Ingenious design! No fumbling with a tiny snap to open and close this...there's a silver ring that slides up to open and down to fold the ruffles just so on closing sold. It's in “like new” condition apart from some darkening of the wrist loop chain.

Inside on a spoke are two labels..one says “Designed by Florence Hirsch” and one says “Made in Italy” “100% Nylon”.

Frances Hirsch designed accessories circa 1940-1960 sold in stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and high end boutiques. She was best known for her embellished handbags embroidered and beaded in Europe. One of her bags is featured in Judith Miller's book, “Handbags”.
